They have reached a agreement with the employ which they reduce request in salary but shorten the weekly working hours.
4.他既想有稳定的收入，又不想工作。鱼和熊掌不可兼得！
He wants to have stable incom without working. You cannot have them both.

Don't forget to send us a telegram as soon as you get there.

They reach an agreement with the employer that their demand lower salaries with weekly working hours cut down.

4.他既想有稳定的收入，又不想工作。鱼和熊掌不可兼得！
He not only wants a job with stable income, but also wouldn't like to work. One cannot have both.

Don't forget telegram us on your arriving.
