LA Galaxy let David Beckham attend the Royal Wedding in London

David Beckham has been given special permission by his LA Galaxy soccer bosses to attend the Royal Wedding.

His team has a crucial match against FC Dallas in Texas 48 hours after William and Kate marry in London.

And David, 35 – a good pal of Wills – feared he and wife Victoria would not be able to attend the ceremony because of pre-match training. But Galaxy chiefs have ruled that because it will be such an “amazing British royal event” he can go along, then fly back on the Saturday in time for the Major League match.

A source said: “David and Victoria are thrilled he’s able to attend.”

Designer Victoria, 36, who will be six months pregnant, is preparing a dress to wear – and is said to be nervous of a global audience seeing her design.

The source added: “She wouldn’t dream of trying to overshadow Kate but it will be one of her best outfits yet.”
