When it comes to organising the wedding reception of the year, Prince William and Kate Middleton need a planner with discretion and a unique knowledge of what makes a royal party go with a swing.
Step forward Lady Elizabeth Anson, the Queen's cousin and party planner to both British and Hollywood royalty, who has been called upon to help the couple plan their wedding.
Lady Elizabeth, the founder of Party Planners, a London-based events company, will oversee the couple's wedding reception at Buckingham Palace in April, hosted by the Queen.
The Queen is believed to have called upon Lady Elizabeth's know-how for the royal wedding reception following the success of her own 80th birthday party at The Ritz hotel in London in 2006, which Lady Elizabeth organised.
Lady Elizabeth, 69, who has been planning events for more than 40 years, has a glittering list of clients, including the actors Tom Cruise and Thandie Newton, the musicians Mick Jagger and Sting, President Bill Clinton, Baroness Thatcher and the fashion designer Valentino.
She also has an impressive track record with royal weddings, organising a party for wedding guests at Claridges's following the marriage of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales in 1981 and overseeing the wedding reception for the Duke and Duchess of York in 1986, also at Claridges.
Lady Elizabeth also arranged the flowers for Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall's wedding in Windsor in 2005 and acted as the wedding planner for the marriages of Lady Helen Windsor to Timothy Taylor and Viscount Linley to Serena Stanhope.
An expert in arranging themed events, Lady Elizabeth also organised the opulent pre-French Revolution-themed fancy dress birthday party for Lady Gabriella Windsor and Lord Frederick Windsor in 2001 at Kensington Palace.
Prince William and Miss Middleton's wedding reception following their marriage at Westminster Abbey on April 29 is expected to be a lavish affair, with the Queen hosting 600 guests at Buckingham Palace including more than 50 members of the Royal Family, 40 members of foreign royal families and 60 international heads of state.
Other guests at the lunch time reception are expected to include David and Victoria Beckham and the singer Sir Elton John.
Prince Charles will later host an "intimate" dinner for 300 of the couple's closest family and friends.
While the Queen and the Prince will undoubtedly ensure that no expense is spared to give the newly-weds a memorable day, Lady Elizabeth is proud of being able to plan on a budget.
The Party Planners website informs prospective clients: "Most importantly, we know that the art of hosting a truly memorable event does not necessarily mean extravagance, but careful planning, originality and attention to detail."
The website also features the full list of services that Party Planners is able to offer clients, including "catering, marquees, lighting and decor, entertainment, bands and discotheques, champagne and wine, florists, photography and video, security, co-ordination and attendance, cakes, hair and make-up".
Lady Elizabeth, the Queen's first cousin once removed, has impeccable royal connections.
The Princess Royal was a bridesmaid at her wedding to her former husband, the photographer Sir Geoffrey Shakerley, in Westminster Abbey in 1972. Her brother was Lord Lichfield, the late celebrated Royal photographer.
