请楼主解释下第二句为什么使用An engineering?，是不是不应对原文中一个工程师，理解为一个人，而应该理解为一个工程。
% t7 Z( W, Z/ v- ]另外本人总结：replace与displace的 区别
9 j# @6 s% J/ C, b" Ureplace是指两个事物之间的替代。
- I# |3 o5 u4 X. P$ h' M# s! X! g: g例：I replaced you with him as the contestant in the competition.# ~, K0 e7 S* U( i8 F; ]3 @' ?
displace是指一个事物的转移。
7 h+ L' y5 V; y5 T# _例：I displaced you as the contestant from this competition to that one., o6 f+ h, ?' T0 Q* y9 u1 k% \
另外Replace还有放回原处的意思。
( T8 @% N. @8 j3 f当然如果Displace做替代讲的话，他有新事物使被替代事物失去地位，失去作用，失去功能的意思。
