尼采(Friedrich Nietzsche)是个悲剧哲学家,精神状况一直不稳定,但是我欣赏他的存在主义和后现代思维。今天介绍两个他最广为人知的观点:权力意志和永恒轮回(will to power and eternal return)。
权力意志(will to power) 是人类生活的原动力,尼采认为是比适应力和生存力更强势的存在,人应该凭着信念生活而不是被动的接受。
Will to power describes what Nietzsche believed to be the main driving force in man; achievement, ambition, the striving to reach the highest possible position in life; these are all manifestations of the will to power. In a wide sense of a term, the will to power is a more important element than pressure for adaptation or survival. Nietzsche's concept of the will to power applies to all living things, suggesting that adaptation and the struggle to survive is a secondary drive in the evolution of animals, less important than the desire to expand one’s power.
Eternal return (also known as "eternal recurrence") is a concept which posits that the universe has been recurring, and will continue to recur, in a self-similar form an infinite number of times across infinite time and/or infinite space.
Quote: "Time is infinite, but the things in time, the concrete bodies, are finite. They may indeed disperse into the smallest particles; but these particles, the atoms, have their determinate numbers, and the numbers of the configurations which, all of themselves, are formed out of them is also determinate. Now, however long a time may pass, according to the eternal laws governing the combinations of this eternal play of repetition, all configurations which have previously existed on this earth must yet meet, attract, repulse, kiss, and corrupt each other again..."
