In our time and age, much debate has taken place about the content of films and television. Some people assert that it is justified for the government to limit images concerning violence in films and television so as to prevent a further increase in the rate of violent crimes. Overall, I agree with this statement.
First of all, many studies indicate that violence included in TV or films encourages their viewers to become more aggressive because those bloody images can create visual shocks and may arouse individuals' desire deeply rooted in human nature to kill or use violence.
In addition to this, children and teenagers who are immature physically and mentally are more likely to develop biased and misguided attitudes towards the world, because violence is often welcomed in TV and films as a sign of manhood and heroic behavior in dealing with problems.
Admittedly, violent crimes are closely related to those TV programs and films which are rich in violence, but poor living environment and loss of education should also be responsible for violent crimes.
In conclusion, it is suggested that the government ought to put more restrictions on the amount of violence in films and televisions es-en though violent crimes can only be solved by a combination of other measures.
