Giant Olympic rings unveiled at St Pancras station in London

A giant set of Olympic rings has been unveiled at one of London's busiest train stations with less than 17 months before the start of the 2012 Games.

The five aluminum rings in the Olympic colours of blue, yellow, black, green and red were suspended from the ceiling at St Pancras station on Thursday.

The Olympic logo was 66 feet wide 30 feet tall and weighed 5,070 pounds.

Organizers will place rings at other London landmarks including Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

St Pancras was selected as the first site because many visitors to the games will pass through the station on their way to the Olympic Park in east London.
